A B2B/B2C online platform for Ontario small businesses
My name is Wendy and I am very new here. I've never tried to blog before so I will give it a shot and hope that people are interested in what I have to say.
I guess I've never blogged before because my main problem is advertising or marketing myself. I have lots to say but it doesn't really matter unless I have an audience. My skills are very limited in this area so I would welcome any advice. After all, one can't do everything.
My main goal in life is to be a great mom and wife. My next big goal is to help women put themselves back on their priority list. Most of the time our laundry comes before we do.
I'm certainly not saying we need to be selfish, but if we don't take care of ourselves we really will run out of steam to do what we need to do before too long. I always say as well, if we as women don't take time for ourselves, no one is going to give it to us.
I will end here for today with one question for you. Are you taking time for yourself daily?? I would love to know why you are or why you are not. I think it might be interesting to hear what people have to say on this.
Until next time

Comment by Wendy on December 16, 2010 at 5:52pm I don't know about you but I would always feel guilty saying no. Years ago when I needed to take a few things off my plate I started saying "let me think about that and I'll get back to you". That would allow me to really be clear if I could do what was being asked of me or not.
I used to say yes, be angry with that person but no more. I let my yes be yes and my no be no. It took me years of practice to get that down and feel good about it.
Thank you for your comment by the way.

As for taking time for myself... Yes, I do take time for myself and I started doing that few years ago when I learned to say NO to things that were not a priority for me. I agree with you setting priorities is the first step to not only looking after yourself, but looking after others as well.
